These two photos popped up in my feed recently. They are from my days back as a wrestler in high school. I never made much of my time as a wrestler. I would often show up to tournaments drunk from the night before, seen in the first photo ;) I would get the most potential award each season. This basically means you have all the talent but you don’t make use of it. That was me for the first 22 years of my life. I let everything be a game. I never took anything seriously. Maybe it’s because I didn’t want the risk or I didn’t realize the opportunities that came with the reward of winning in life. 20 years later I have changed this attitude entirely. Sport is everything to me. It taught me the reality of life. Hard work will pay off, anything less than your best leave the door open to losing what you care about most.
