At 11:57 a.m. on July 19, the Idaho National Guard's Orchard Fire & Emergency Services responded with multiple engines to a vehicle fire on I-84 in response to an Ada County request for support . When firefighters arrived they encountered a truck with its camper engulfed in flames. The Engine E-204 crew engaged the vehicle fire while two other engines focused their efforts on fighting a fire in the median caused by the vehicle fire. Both the vehicle and median fire were extinguished.
The same day at 5:33 p.m., OF&ES crews responded to another request from Ada County and the Bureau of Land Management to a structure fire on South Orchard Access Rd. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered a barn on fire and conducted defensive operations at the site to prevent the fire from spreading to brush or nearby buildings.
