This weekend, the Idaho National Guard held a ceremony at the Gowen Chapel revealing a new stained-glass window and three wall paintings. Retired Col. John Mooney Jr., designed the stained-glass window, titled Saved, to depict a team of ground combatants working together with air support to recover a wounded warrior. When the audience looks up to the window, they are reminded of reliance of a higher spiritual power and the mutual support, communication and uninhibited trust required to accomplish a difficult mission. The three wall paintings, Light of the World, Faithful Service and Loyalty, were painted by local artist Ms. Cindi Duft. Duft has painted more than 65 murals or paintings for more than 40 churches and schools across Idaho. #stainedglass #wallpaintings #gowenchapel
