FIREFIGHTERS FROM ACROSS IDAHO RESPOND TO CALIFORNIA FIRES: This morning, the Idaho Office of Emergency Management in coordination efforts with the Idaho Fire Chiefs Association sent 104 firefighters and 25 fire engines from across Idaho to help fight the fires burning in Southern California. The teams are scheduled to arrive in California by Friday, joining the fight to protect lives, property and communities. Crews from the Treasure Valley and western Idaho gathered at the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa before traveling together. We wish the local crews and all first responders a safe deployment as they head into challenging conditions.
