ROCK ON 🤘: On Friday night, the Idaho Army National Guard’s 25th Army Band and the Idaho Military Division’s Morale, Welfare and Recreation Program hosted the 2nd annual Battle of the Bands competition at the Egyptian Theatre in downtown Boise. The first place winner was the band Right Shoes and they won a drum kit and recording time in a local studio. The second place winner was the band Falkons and they won a guitar and recording time in a local studio. The third place winner was the band Fleeting Confidence. The other participants were local bands Looom, Surf Green Machine, Tree City Soul and Vena Cava. Retired Maj. Gen. Michael Garshak, Idaho’s previous adjutant general, had the pleasure to participate as one of the judges.
