Warrant Officer Steven Jackson pinned on warrant officer 1 rank yesterday and will serve in the Idaho National Guard’s 101st Civil Support Team as a survey team leader. Jackson is the first warrant officer to serve in the unit and transferred from the Idaho Air National Guard into the Idaho Army National Guard to accept the promotion. “It is very humbling to be the first warrant officer in the CST and to be a part of this cohort,” said Jackson. “I hope that I can set a good example for the warrant officers to come after me.” Jackson had served in the Idaho Air National Guard for 16 years before transitioning into the Army Guard earlier this year. He previously served in the joint unit as a survey recon NCO as an Airman. He completed the Army’s Prior Service Army Integration Course, Warrant Officer Candidate School and CBRN Warrant Officer Basic Course to become qualified as a Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Technician. #warrantofficer #cst #nco #cohort #goguard
