Fourteen people were hospitalized after a driver crashed into multiple other vehicles and a Pace bus before fatally shooting themself in a west suburban intersection Friday morning, officials said. Just before 9 a.m., a driver heading southbound on Harlem Avenue in Oak Park ran through a red light at Lake Street, Village of Oak Park officials said. The driver swerved into the northbound lane, avoiding a pedestrian in the crosswalk and instead striking two to three other vehicles, including a Pace bus, according to authorities. After the crash, the driver pulled out a gun and fatally shot themself in the head, officials said. They were dead when authorities arrived. #oakpark #illinois #chicago #crash
