John Wayne twirls a Winchester 1892 rifle by its lever with one hand in his introduction as Ringo Kid in the film Stagecoach (1939). The rifle used in this film has an enlarged D-loop lever to make the trick easier.    John Wayne used this type of modified Winchester 1892 and performed this trick in many of his Westerns beginning with Stagecoach.
