The Freeborn Wind Farm was the second contested wind farm in the state of Minnesota, and the first to receive a permit. Our CEO, Mariah, played an integral role in the permitting and success of the Freeborn Wind Farm. The wind farm was not initially welcomed with open arms, but in December of 2018, it received its permit and became operational a few years later.
