Stan Brock started an airborne medical charity, parachuting doctors into South American jungles. In the 1990s, the charity, called Remote Area Medical, turned to another isolated group: Americans cut off from health care by the cost. When 60 Minutes met him in 2008, he was 72. He took no salary, lived in a donated office, and showered with a garden hose. He died in the office in 2018. “He was perhaps the most dedicated person I've ever met,” says Scott Pelley.
