Joanne Ford was retired and living on disability with no insurance when 60 Minutes met her in 2008. Her glasses no longer helped her see. Sitting a few feet away from Scott Pelley, she said that with her left eye she probably would not be able to see him. "I am sad that we are the wealthiest nation in the world, and we don't take care of our own,” she said.
