Before coming to Amazon, Norbie Lara, an assistant site leader at #QXY8 in Fresno, California, was a combat veteran of 11 years. A few months into his tour of duty in Baquba, Iraq, his vehicle hit a roadside bomb. Norbie lost his right arm in the blast and sustained brain damage. As his body was healing, he was suddenly faced with a battle in his mind.⁠ ⁠ “I started to struggle with Post-Traumatic Stress,” Norbie said. “I really didn't think that I was ever gonna work again or have a purpose again.”⁠ ⁠ That changed when Norbie joined Amazon in 2020 and became involved in the #WarriorsatAmazon affinity group.
