Iāve stood outside of this stadium taking photos a few specific times in the past 5+ years. Once when lockdown happened and the world (including me) was missing the joy of the game. Once when the stadium was painted as a stance for equality and social justice- and I wanted to stand with it and document the moment. Once when the wildcard series was played hereā but no one was allowed in⦠so I joined the other fans in the city who stood behind the rod-iron gates- poking our faces and ears through, setting up lawn chairs in the street for 9 inningsā just to be close. ā£ā£

And once today. Because for the first time in 16 years, the Padres are bringing playoff baseball home to their city. And itās an energy that canāt be missedā and an energy that canāt be un-felt.ā£ā£
