"He's back as Dr Schwarzenegger." Decades after he came to Belfast as a young bodybuilder, Arnold Schwarzenegger has been given an honorary doctorate. Arnie was given the doctorate in recognition of his contributions to public service, environmental advocacy and the arts at the Ulster University on Monday. One student said: "In my eyes, I feel like it's a big deal not just for the city, but for the country to have such a global icon come here." Arnie's history with Northern Ireland began in 1966, where he was asked to be the house guest of local bodybuilding judge Ivan Dunbar, after he finished second during the Mr Universe competition in London. During that 1966 trip, he was also "unexpectedly invited to speak to an audience" in Belfast following a body building competition.
