I created the workout I was selfishly looking for… and I’m so glad I did.
Even postpartum, I still choose DanceBody to rebuild my core, balance, and strength. And here’s why:
Standing core work - less pressure on the abdominal wall, so that I can strengthen my core without worsening my diastasis.
Single-leg stability - so important for functional training as we age, but even more important to bring back your balance.
Cardiovascular training - one of the only ways to get hormones moving and out of your body through sweat. Also, after weeks of sitting, my heart is in desperate need of a good pump.
Waking up the Posterior chain - this essentially goes dormant during pregnancy and postpartum. Bring back the back!
Strength - my baby is already 15lbs…I’ll take two HexWeights, please.
Range of motion - during postpartum, your body is doing very repetitive motions in awkward positions. Moving to my full capability makes me feel less sore instantly.
Great music - a dopamine hit at this ...
