Florida State defeated Syracuse 38-3 to finish its ACC schedule with a 5-3 record while improving to 7-3 overall on the season. The Seminoles outgained the Orange 420-160, marking their second straight game holding an opponent to less than 200 yards of total offense. FSU also accumulated more than 200 rushing yards for the fifth straight game and quarterback Jordan Travis become only the second player in program history - and first since 1949 - to have a rushing, receiving and passing touchdown in the same game. Travis finished with a career-high-tying three passing touchdowns to account for all five of FSU's touchdowns, and running back Trey Benson rushed for 168 yards, besting his single-game career-high for the third straight week.
