This was not just a threat. Someone was preparing to firebomb Nerdeen Kiswani’s home. This was real. This was targeted. And it could have been deadly. At Asiyah Women’s Center, we work with women and children escaping violence every day. We have seen how these situations unfold. It starts with hate. It turns into threats. And too often, it becomes something much worse. That is why this matters so deeply to us. Islamophobic and anti Palestinian hate are rising across this country, and Muslim and Palestinian women are being targeted more and more. What happened to Nerdeen is not separate from that reality. It is part of it. No one should have to fear being attacked in their own home. Not for who they are. Not for what they believe. Not for using their voice. We stand with Nerdeen Kiswani.
