These are my FAVORITE international travel tips and resources that I use for EVERY trip…not just right now. Preparing before your international trip is what turns anxiety into confidence. Start with the basics: check travel advisories before you go AND during your trip. If you’re a U.S. traveler, use the U.S. Department of State site…just search your destination + “travel advisory” and look at the level (1–4). Enroll in STEP (Smart Traveler Enrollment Program). It’s free and sends email updates and alerts from U.S. embassies and consulates while you’re abroad. Download apps like Flighty to track flights and airports in real time. Delays, gate changes, cancellations…you’ll usually know ASAP! Get travel insurance. Look into World Nomads (Travel Nomads if attached to international car insurance), SafetyWing, or Allianz Travel Insurance (please do your own research on this). And READ THE FINE PRINT.
