Things I’m googling at 38 weeks pregnant with mono/di twins while also 7+ cm dilated and 100% effaced: • is silent labor a thing • how are you 7 cm dilated and not in active labor • when does active labor actually start • can you be in transition without knowing • what do contractions feel like if you’re already this dilated • signs labor is hours away vs days away • how long can you stay 7 cm dilated • is my body just chilling?? Even as a fourth-time mom, I still get in my head about labor. And being pregnant with twins for the first time — while my body is clearly doing something but not fully committing yet — adds a whole new layer. Because logically, I trust my body.
