Marvin and I have our big family business meeting at the beginning of the year, and then we sit down quarterly to talk through how our household is actually functioning. When you’re balancing careers, raising children, and managing a full life, there is too much going on to leave important conversations like this to chance—they won’t happen. We’ve found that quarterly meetings allow us to be intentional about where we are, to step back and assess what’s working, and to be thoughtful about what’s ahead.
