Recently our The Great Renaissance Artists of Florence class took a visit to the Museo Degli Innocenti. The students got to learn about the architecture of the museum and the art inside of its gallery. Quick Fact: Back when impoverished parents used to leave their babies at the Institute degli Innocenti, they would often give them tokens that were either broken in two pieces or they had a duplicate of. That way they could recognize the child once they were able to take them back in.
