Beth Powling is a Client Support Associate for Alpine Bank Wealth Management. She has been with the bank since 2018 and volunteers with Junior Achievement (JA), an organization that prepares young people with the resources they need to overcome economic inequity.
“I volunteer with the kindergarten class at Glenwood Springs Elementary. A young, but great age to get children excited about financial literacy,” explained Powling.
With the help of the JA curriculum, Powling works with school staff to teach money management, career readiness, and entrepreneurship while also sharing her unique life experiences and perspectives. Powling and her husband also run a construction company, Elephant Roofing.
“My act of volunteering not only benefits the recipients but also brings a sense of fulfillment and purpose to myself,” Powling said. “It fosters a sense of connection and shared responsibility by building stronger, more resilient communities.”
