Each year on April 28th, the U.S. and Canada recognize Workers Memorial Day. It is the day set aside to remember the lives of those lost to work related fatal incidents and recognize the enormous impact those tragedies have on families, coworkers and our communities.
At Waste Connections, the safety of our team members is ALWAYS our 1st value and paramount in everything we do. Every decision we make must pass the values test. We join the nations in mourning the loss of life, but we constantly strive to foster the workplace culture that prevents these tragic losses from occurring.
Below are links to additional information on Workers Memorial Day 2021.
Today, our Company's challenge is to take a moment at 11:00 am EST, 8:00 am PST to remember those that have died in a work related fatal injury.
