✝️ Happy Easter from Italy! 🇮🇹
I’ve always said that one of my favorite things about being Catholic is that you can go anywhere in the world and feel comfortable, feel like you understand, even if Mass is being shared in a different language. Today was my first opportunity to do that since my family lived in Europe in the 1980’s, and it was unforgettable. The ancient church we found has been standing since the year 1171!
San Giovanni Battista… in the village of Mensano, in Tuscany.
It felt like everyone in the parish was family, true family. The choir was beautiful. The people were so friendly and welcoming to us Americans. And of course, the cappuccino was perfection ☕️
God is so good.
(The first slide is in the backyard of our villa for the week, and the last slide is a video of the backyard that finishes inside the 1000+ year old church 💜)
Day 1 in the books!
