Most players struggle to transfer their training shooting to actual games. You can make 100 standstill shots in a row and still miss in games. Why? Because the game doesn’t give you: • Perfect balance • Perfect timing • Zero pressure Game shots come from movement, reads, and decisions. If your shooting workouts don’t include: • Movement into your shot (cuts, fills, transitions) • Proper spacing habits (where and when to get open) • Defensive pressure (late contests, closeouts, hand disruption) • Decision-making (shoot vs drive vs relocate) …then you’re training a skill that doesn’t exist in real games. Great shooters don’t just “shoot well” — they get shots off in chaos. That’s why in my workouts we emphasize: ✔️ Game-speed reps ✔️ Spacing ✔️ Reading defenders ✔️ Shooting under pressure Because THAT is what shows up on game day.
