I started hand-writing Scripture.
Copying word for word, chapter by chapter into a notebook.
I was struggling to stick with a reading plan or stay focused when I would dive into Scripture with a newborn. It was too easy to let my thoughts run wild or let anxiety and comparison whisper louder than the Truth. So I started writing in January and have been surprised at the impact it has made.
The act itself forces me to slow down and absorb.
To pause and breathe as I form each letter.
To focus - not just on completing a reading plan but lingering on the pages.
Each word feels intentional.
Each promise feels more personal.
I’m reminded of who God is - and who I am in Him.
It’s not about having the perfect quiet time during this season. It’s not about doing it “right”.
It’s about anchoring my heart in Truth when everything else feels so unpredictable.
It’s about being present in His presence.
Finding His peace in the middle of it all.
