A massive fire tore through an abandoned chemical factory on Piercy Street in Paterson late Friday night. Large flames and plumes of smoke rose into the sky as crews from throughout Passaic County worked overnight to stop it. The five-alarm blaze began around 11 p.m. at the one-story, 200-by-300-foot building.
