Description Two generations of roller coaster history come together at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California. In this short video, you can see the iconic coaster Revolution interacting with Tatsu as the trains race across the hillside. It is a great example of how the park layers classic attractions with modern thrill rides across the mountain terrain. Revolution opened in 1976 and changed the amusement industry forever. Designed by Anton Schwarzkopf and Werner Stengel, it became the first modern steel roller coaster in the world to feature a vertical loop. The ride originally opened as “The Great American Revolution” during the United States Bicentennial celebration. Its groundbreaking looping design proved that vertical loops could be smooth and reliable, inspiring an entire generation of roller coaster engineering that followed.
