This position oversees CAL FIRE’s diverse Aviation Management Unit (AMU), including aircraft operations, contracts, safety performance, and statewide mission readiness.
Minimum Qualifications:
You must possess the required FAA certifications and meet experience requirements, such as:
Valid/current FAA Second-Class Airman Medical Certificate
FAA Commercial or Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) (multi-engine land + instrument) or Commercial/ATP Rotorcraft-Helicopter
2,000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) (fixed-wing or rotary)
Qualifying experience in California state service aviation classifications or five years of broad and extensive experience with direct oversight of the operations and/or maintenance of 15 or more aircraft, including at least two years in a managerial capacity in military, government, or ...
