I am a mother to two audhd kids. One of them being non-verbal and level 3. The terms "profound" and "severe" autism are not diagnoses. This is because autism is a spectrum disorder and cannot be measured on a linear scale. Those terms were largely created within parent advocacy spaces to describe their autistic children with very high support needs.
