Couldn’t help but 😂 Harar was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2006 due to its unique architecture and cultural importance. The city is home to 82 mosques, including three that date back to the 10th century. It has 102 shrines which makes it a significant center for Islamic worship and scholarship. The city has been a major commercial center for centuries, connecting trade routes between Ethiopia, the Arabian Peninsula and more.
