Tillman Scholar Spotlight! 🩺 From West Point to White Coat … Army veteran and medical student at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, 2023 Tillman Scholar Tirone Young is driven by a lifelong commitment to service through healthcare. He earned a degree in nuclear engineering from West Point and served as a global health leader with NATO partners during the COVID-19 pandemic, leading surveillance and testing efforts. Near the end of his active-duty service, he also supported Operation Allies Refuge, providing humanitarian assistance to Afghan evacuees arriving from Kabul. Now a Tillman Scholar, he’s leveraging his military experience and medical training to create meaningful impact. This past weekend, he had the opportunity to attend Super Bowl LX as a Tillman Scholar.
