The Atlanta Dream made one of the boldest moves in WNBA offseason history, acquiring two-time All-Star Angel Reese from the Chicago Sky in exchange for first-round picks in 2027 and 2028. Reese, the only player in WNBA history to average at least 12 rebounds per game in a season, joins a Dream roster that already features four All-Stars in Allisha Gray, Rhyne Howard and Brionna Jones — plus WNBA Sixth Player of the Year Naz Hillmon. In two seasons with Chicago, Reese put up 49 double-doubles on career averages of 14 points and 12.8 rebounds per game. She set a WNBA rookie record with 13.1 rebounds per game in 2024 and rattled off 15 consecutive double-doubles. Atlanta finished second in the WNBA last season with one of the league's best defenses and top rebounding units.
