Before the championships, before the sidelines — Doc Rivers was running the point in Atlanta. A Hawk from 1983 to 1991, Rivers spent eight seasons alongside Dominique Wilkins and remains the all-time assists leader in franchise history. Now, he's a Hall of Famer. The sixth-winningest coach in NBA regular season history with 1,191 wins, Rivers has been elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2026. He won a championship with the Boston Celtics in 2008, reached the Finals again in 2010, and has since coached the Clippers, 76ers, and currently the Milwaukee Bucks. Atlanta built him.
