This
#EarthMonth, we honor resiliency, growth, and healing.
In the aftermath of 9/11, amid devastation and loss, nature quietly stood as a witness to grief and hope. Among the Ground Zero rubble, a single tree, later known as the
#SurvivorTree, was unearthed, nurtured, and returned to its home at the
#911Memorial. Its story reminds us that even in the hardest soil, life can take root.
Trees have always been symbols of endurance and renewal. For the rescue and recovery community, they became places to pause, reflect, and find comfort together. Following the attacks, parks became communal spaces for mourning and remembrance, a reminder that our connection to nature brings us strength.
This month and every month, may we pause to celebrate the Earth and its power to heal.
