The Freeborn Wind Farm was the second contested wind farm in the state of Minnesota, and first to permit. Our CEO Mariah played an integral role in the permitting and success of the Freeborn Wind Farm. The wind farm was not initially welcomed with open arms, but in December of 2018 it received its permit, and became operational a few years later. Mariah Lynne addressed the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission (MNPUC) with four different backgrounds: as a mother, a business owner, a community volunteer, and as a Minnesotan.
