Knowing Your Pitcher Matters🧠⬇️ _leebinford4_ didn’t throw this (absolutely disgusting) particular pitch to me very often. So when she did, I always felt uncomfortable catching it. You can see I move my glove up way too early, trying to track it down, but that pitch had a mind of its own So now I’m just reacting and chasing it, and that’s why my glove is so flippy floppy🤣 Instead, I should’ve known where that pitch typically ends (probably should’ve called it more in bullpens, too): Stayed, patient, kept my glove loaded, then moved the load to high to stick it. In all, this was simply a timing issue. Receiving is really all about timing and having your body and glove in the correct place to move efficiently.
