Running a Put-In at Michael Jackson ONE! Whenever we have artists that are ready to validate a new-to-them position in the show, we do a work light run of the act(s) followed by a show lighting run. In this case, since Billie Jean takes place entirely in the dark, we do a dim lighting run followed by a show lighting run. During these trainings we try to keep things as close to what it would be like during a performance as possible to make sure the artists are fully prepared. Typically all of our technical departments participate and we have one stage manager in the booth running the technical side of things while another SM coordinates the artists and coaches from the house.
