Dancing, growing, and getting stronger every day 💃💪❤️
This is me with two of my biggest supporters, Ryan (my awesome dance coach AND caregiver!) and Austin, my strength & conditioning coach.
I LOVE being a Hip Hop Homie. It’s a dance group made up of people with Down syndrome, and the only rule is that you have to love to dance… which I definitely do!!
Something we’ve learned on my journey is that people with Down syndrome can have low muscle tone, which can make joints a little loose and easier to injure. That’s why working out safely is so important for me.
Austin helps me get stronger so I can keep dancing and doing what I love. And Ryan even joined one of my workouts to learn how to help me (and the other Hip Hop Homies!) warm up safely and stay strong too, it means so much to have that kind of support 💛
We’re a team, and I’m so lucky to have people who support me and believe in me 💫
Love,Sam & Mom 💕
