On mile 4,691 of our travels in 2026, we visited Denver, CO, to catch a game at the highest stadium ever used in the NWSL, and witness the Denver Summit make history. The newest team in women’s soccer broke the NWSL attendance record with 63,004 soccer fans turning up to Empower Field for their opening home game. And we figured the best way to take in such a momentous occasion was to climb to the very peak of the stadium and take it all in. Sitting at 5,280ft above sea level, this venue is the second-highest stadium where pro soccer has been played in America.
