What would it mean to trust someone who told you the hard truth before you needed it?
At Heartland this Lent, we're walking through the moments where Jesus 'calls his shot' on the way to the cross — naming what's coming before it arrives.
In John 16, he warns his friends that following him will cost them something real. And he tells them not because he wants them to walk away, but because he wants them to stay.
Look at a challenge you're facing and say: "Jesus warned me, and he’s with me."
Has there been a moment — in faith or outside of it — when a warning you'd been given became an anchor when the hard thing arrived? What does it mean to you that Jesus is more concerned with your endurance than your comfort?
