Twelve months on from losing the Division Two title to Galway, officialcorklgfa reversed the result in style to capture the Division One crown for the first time in seven years. The victory draws Cork level with Kerry at the top of the roll of honour once again, and condemns Galway to an eighth straight defeat in the league final, the title still eluding them after all this time. The Connacht side were favourites going into the game in many people's eyes and despite the atrocious conditions they held an 0-8 to 0-2 lead early in the second half - they would score just once more for the rest of the game however. Katie Quirke's brilliant individual goal and an own goal turned the game in Cork's favour in the final ten minutes and they ran out 2-8 to 0-9 winners at the final whistle. #LGFA #WomensFootball
