The hallway scene in bts.bighitofficial “2.0” traces back to Oldboy, a 2003 film directed by Park Chan-wook.
The original sequence is filmed from the side and designed to play out as a single take. Choi Min-sik performed most of the action himself, and the scene took about three days to shoot after rehearsals.
The same setup appears in “2.0,” including the narrow corridor and fixed angle. The structure stays intact, with movement built around choreography.
“Oldboy” won the Grand Prix at Cannes in 2004. The hallway sequence has since been used in other productions, including Daredevil, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and the video game Sifu.
