On Saturday, I had my first clinical rotation in the Labor and Delivery unit. I got to scrub in and was about to witness the birth of a baby from a first-time mom. I was so excited for that moment, but my time was up and I had to leave for debriefing before the baby arrived. I was a little sad I didn’t get to see the birth, but I’m still grateful I was able to be there, support the parents, and experience such a beautiful moment in their lives.
