Monday was my first reload leg day of the week , it wasn’t about adding weight. It was about coming back correctly.
Reload days are where strength gets rebuilt quietly same movements, good weight, clean reps, steady breathing.
No ego.
No chasing numbers.
Just muscles remembering how to work together again.
This is why reload matters:
• It lets your joints catch up with your strength
• It sharpens form before top sets return
• It keeps progress moving without breakdown
At this stage of life, I don’t train to impress the barbell. I train so my body keeps saying “yes” every week.
And yes… it still burned 😌
Smart work doesn’t mean easy work.
Monday reload work:
• Hip thrusts (controlled, no top set)
• Bulgarian split squats
• Glute-biased leg press
• RDL / hinge pattern
• Abduction / activation finisher
Training smarter is not doing less.
It’s doing what actually works long term.
