No matter where you are, at home, in a meeting, or out in nature, mindfulness is what brings you back to yourself.
Recently, I completed a 10-day silent retreat, and it opened my eyes to the power of silence and stillness. In that space, I saw my sankaras….. those mental patterns and reactions, clearly for what they are. They are mine to own, not anyone else’s to carry. At the same time, I realized I don’t need to absorb anyone else’s struggles as my own.
This isn’t about disconnecting, it’s about creating the space for true compassion without entanglement.
Mindfulness also brings us face-to-face with impermanence. Everything … joy, pain, even the thoughts running through your head, is constantly shifting. And while that can feel unsettling, it’s actually freeing.
When we stop clinging to what’s already slipping through our fingers, we create space for presence, peace, and clarity.
