First TikTok Awards in the U.S. and last event of 2025 🥳 I’ve been on this platform since the Musical.ly days in 2015, and being in that room brought up a lot of feelings. I kept thinking about how much creator culture has changed, and yet how powerful it still is when people actually show up for each other offline. The timing was also hard to ignore. Earlier that day, the U.S. approved TikTok’s majority sale to U.S. ownership. It felt strange and meaningful at the same time to be celebrating creators while bigger conversations about platforms and power were unfolding in the background. Seeing creators connect in person is always grounding. It’s easy to talk about impact at a high level, but these platforms really do create opportunities, careers, and entire ecosystems.
