Celebrating New Year’s Eve in the Maldives was the best yet! The Maldives’ chain of 26 atolls and 1900+ islands is on the equator south of India. It’s a 13 hour flight from SFO to Zurich, then another 13 hours to the capital of Male, where they have a traditional airport. Access to the resort islands is from Male by speedboat or float plane as the 1900+ reef islands are very small and usually have one resort per island. It’s the perfect place for all the water sports!
