24 hour ironmanoceania recovery complete! 🙌😉 Time to enjoy a bit of Australia…😎 After a solid rest & recovery day in Port Macquarie, I jumped in a 5-speed campervan to make the 17 hour left-side-of-the-road drive up the East Coast of Australia to check out the Whitsunday Islands (70+ island national park along the Southern edge of the Great Barrier Reef). I honestly think 17 hours of stepping on the clutch in Australia road construction traffic helped work through any stiffness, but I might be nuts. 💁‍♂️ The acrobatic adventure tour in a Yak-52 (Russian WWII era fighter) was a rush (I’ll upload the video of us doing barrel rolls and flying inverted above the islands when I get home), and the all day sailboat trip around the islands was super chill. Amazing tropical rainforests, stunning white beaches, great coral reefs and colorful sunsets. ❤️ Unexpectedly ran into a team member of my favorite customer (Google of course) on one of the islands, which is always a pleasure! 🙏 ...
