Ironman Australia (Port Macquarie) was a huge success and so much fun!! Pro pics will come out in a week, but here are a few from ironmanoceania and others so you know I made it through alive. 😉 -This was the most organized, scenic and FUN IM I’ve ever done. Love the Aussies!!! Special thanks to ironmanoceania as well as imvolunteersportmacquarie and nurse team kylahakkenbrock for amazing care and attention to detail while keeping the athletes and fun times safe. This was 10x better organized & staffed than my previous IM. Race details: -My swim was underwhelming; the harbor was muddy after steady rain, but I made it through the 2.4 mi ~15min before cutoff. Meh. -The 112 mi bike ride was an absolute blast. The hilly forest and beachside ride was long, difficult and gorgeous. KILLER HILLS! The scenery and misty costal weather reminded me of Marin or Big Sur in NorCal, but with big green palm, pine & eucalyptus trees and a few obligatory Koala crossings. Lol -Transitioning into t...
